Russian artist Masha Yankovskaya will present her project called "Anima and Animus" in Nikolskaya Gallery. This will be her fourth personal exhibition. This was reported to the correspondent of "Lentee.ru" by one of the organizers of the event.
The main theme of the exhibition is a reflection on the theme of unconscious images of a woman's beginning in a man and a man's beginning in a woman. The action in the paintings takes place in the ideal world created by the artist, this is indicated by the whitened space surrounding the characters.
According to the idea of ​​the author, in this world only perfect people can exist: therefore, the canvases depict young and well-built people.
In the fall of 2016, Yankovskaya, together with the Capslockshop brand, launched a capsule collection of clothes with brand drawings. It's about prints with the image of blonde girls who smoke and do yoga. "When I came up with them, there was no point in that, at that moment I did not even do yoga myself. Later, I realized that behind this project is the irony over a healthy lifestyle, "she said.
