POP UP MUSEUM opens personal exhibition of artist Tamara Aksirova "Carpe Diem". Until September 1, 2020, on an area of two hundred square meters, you can see more than forty paintings.

The Carpe Diem project is inspired by the way out of post-Covid isolation, where Tamara Aksirova considers reality from a series of moments, dynamic and elusive. The instant appears before the viewer as a static period of time, captured in eternity. In Tamara’s works, moments freeze, allowing the viewer to become a direct observer and even an accomplice. Despite the lack of perspective, the artist achieves the volume and depth of the image using color contrasts and strokes of different sizes and directions that organize the space.

The heroes of the plots are those who are able to capture the moment, enjoy it or let it pass through a blurred mind with aloofness. Here are street musicians, couples in love, casual passers-by, visitors to bars, noisy companies and characters alone with themselves, private portraits and collective images.

Why Carpe Diem? We are used to dramatic accents on canvases, in the theater, in cinema; used to looking at an artistic gesture through the prism of symbolism, to search for hidden meaning. Tamara Aksirova seeks to show life, as if serving as a backdrop for the production in which, according to the classic, all people are actors. The artist broadcasts the idea of the equivalence of moments and encourages the viewer to transform thinking, to realize the significance of simple moments that we usually do not attach.

One of the attractive properties of art is its ability to transmit an infinite number of points and angles of view. He can change the essence of even the most simple and seemingly unshakable things in his senses. It can create secrets and solve them, think in all kinds of dimensions and make the invisible visible. Through the expression of the brush, Tamara Aksirova conveys the subjective sensation of the matter of the world in its entirety, creating art that is not limited by the dramatic scope and strict conventionality of the genre. This art holds the idea that there, on the side of the moment, far from the fateful events and solemn calendar dates, there is a gem not cut by attention that is enclosed in the moment. Carpe diem!
